According to the research report on studies it has been mentioned that we should at least sleep for eight hours a day. During this time your body relaxes and produces hormones in the body, which gives your body the strength to fight against diseases or the foreign particle that tries to harm your body. 

Consequences of not sleeping properly

In this modern life people are so busy in their daily schedule that they hardly get time to relax or have a good sound sleep. If in case you are not taking proper sleep then it has been found that the testosterone level in the body decreases as well as your sexual drive. If the level of testosterone in the body decreases, then it may lead you to poor reproduction and reduced libido. You would feel weaker; have poor concentrations, diseases related to heart, high blood pressure, strokes, diabetes, stress increases as well as fatigue. Moreover, if you are not taking adequate amount of sleep for day after day, then it may lead you long lasting side effects of poor hormone level.

If you are not getting proper sleep, then by following the ways mentioned below it would help you to improve your sleep.
  • At least four hours before bed, you should not take coffee, cola, chocolate, tea as they contain caffeine.
  • You should avoid eating at least two hours before going to bed.
  • While sleeping you should make your room dark, or you can place eye mask over your eyes to have proper sleep. 

In this way you would be able to have a good sound sleep and at the same time it helps your body to remain fit and active.
