There many men in the world who are facing issues related to sexual life, and the male fertility issue can happen with anyone, irrespective of their age. The fertility issue generally caused due to testicular damage and thus testicles are unable to produce more sperm. And in this way the male fertility gets affected. 

Reasons behind Male Infertility

There are many reasons for male infertility such as physical problem, hormonal imbalances, and behavioral or psychological problems. It has been seen that men who are living a healthy life style are capable of producing healthy sperm. The main reasons for male infertility are mentioned below: 
  1. People who are addicted to smoking and drinking, generally faces the issue of low sperm count as well as the mobility of the sperm cells.
  2. If you are doing lot of exercise, then your body would produce lot of adrenal steroid hormones and as a result the testosterone level decreases and leads to infertility. 
  3. If you are wearing tight underwear, then the scrotal temperature increases and as a result the production of sperm decreases.
  4. If you are not adding foods that are rich in Vitamin C and Zinc in your diet.
  5. If you are exposed to the environmental toxins hazards such as paint, lead, radioactive radiation or pesticides. 

Hormonal problems

There are cases that male infertility also occurs due to hormonal problems. Here are the list of some hormonal problems that can affect male fertility are mentioned below:
  1. Hypothyroidism: if the level of thyroid hormone is low, then testicular would function poorly, libido would be disturbed and the quality of semen would be poor. In order to increase the thyroid hormone, you should reduce the intake of iodine or start any thyroid hormone replacement therapy to increase the sperm count.
  2. Hyperprolactinemia- It has been seen that elevated prolactin hormones that are associated with nursing mother; there is 10 to 40 % possibility of infertile males. If the level of prolactin hormone is moderate then it is fine and if its level increases then the sperm production gets reduced.
